One of my favorite places to visit and explore is Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.

It seems there is always interesting subject matter regardless of the time of day or night. In fact, many photographers set up their tripods after the sun goes down and photograph the magnificent arches and rock formations against the night sky and the stars, planets and galaxies as background.
That is one thing I plan to do on our next trip to that area – hopefully in 2015 or 2016.

I think either of these two images would look interesting against the night sky. There is so much beautiful subject matter there, I wish I lived closer.
